I JUMPED OUT OF A FREAKING AIRPLANE

Yes....you heard me....I went SKYDIVING! I surprised Jonathan with a trip flying through the sky for his birthday. AND IT WAS AMAZING!!!! We both are addicted to it and couldn't quit smiling once we finished. I never really got nervous once I got all geared up! It was amazing, and something everyone should try!

Jonathan's dad flew us down to Greensburg (I knew that dating a pilot's son would pay off some day) so our trip to Greensburg got cut from 2 hours to 30 minutes. It was, however, very intimidating to hear people coming over the radio saying...."JUMPERS AWAY JUMPERS AWAY AT 1200 FT.) Yah scary knowing we weren't even close to flying at that altitude so we were going to be going even higher than that and jumping.

We got to Greensburg, in style may I add by being flown in, and we watched our little safety video. I swiped my credit card for damn near $600 bucks and we signed our life away (16 page waiver ). About 20 minutes later they suited us up, assigned our instructors and we hopped on the plane. I was DAMN LUCKY...my instructor was JAY STOKES, who holds the world record for most jumps in a day (640 in 24 hours.......he is damn good) He has gone all over the world skydiving and is a professional, so I felt as safe as I possible could. Plus if this world record holder dies....well then I will get to be all over the news with him right!!! Jonathan on the other hand got assigned to a guy who had a 104 degree temperature and looked very very pale....So needless to say my stomach was in knots knowing that! But Jonathan seemed pretty calm but anxious to fly!!!

We got in the plane and FINALLY they gave us some instruction once we were off the ground. I was soooo happy I really don't remember any of my instructions tho! I wanted to jump first, cuz I knew I would not have been able to handle watching him jump out and fall right before my eyes. So we gave our last kiss goodbye, a few I love yous....and off I went.

Jay and I did a gainer out of the plane.....AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! And I began my free fall at 120 mph from 1200 feet. It was SOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOL!!! My face was flapping I was going so fasst. I was yelling from pure joy!! I didn't want it to end!!! After about 40 seconds the parachute opened and Jay let me play in the air for a bit with the controls and we sailed around for about 5 minutes. My landing was a little shaky....but I was just so damn excited to talk to Jonathan I couldnt wait! We went right back in and bought more jump tickets so we could try and jump again in the next two weeks before the season is over.......WE FOUND A NEW HOBBY!!! AND AN EXHILARATING ONE AT THAT!!!!

All our pics are loaded on my yahoo site so check those out at
